Toxic After Effects Of An Oil Spill

Many people don’t realize all the animals in the ocean that oil spills affect. Plankton, larval fish, and bottom dwelling organisms are also strongly affected. Even seaweed, clams, oysters, and mussels can be poisoned and affected  by oil spills.

Adventure For Better Environment

When we think of  risk,  change and adventure, the name of  Shel Horowitz,   (founder of the Ethics Pledge and award-winning author of Principled Profit: Marketing That Puts People First) comes to mind.

Shel Horowitz states that Businesses are more likely to succeed when they base themselves in ethics—in honesty, integrity, and quality.

Amazing things can happen when all stakeholders (employees, customers, suppliers, neighborhood residents, even competitors) become your active champions says Shel Horowitz,

-but that only happens if your business specifically empowers each of these groups and addresses their different needs and desires.

Line employees, managers, and even CEOs need support to show that ethical principles funniest  will help their businesses succeed, and that they won't be penalized by the marketplace for taking an ethical stand

Society changes when enough people decide that something is seriously wrong...
and when they feel empowered to do something about it.

In my own lifetime says  Shel Horowitz ,  we've seen critical masses arise and succeed, over and over.

 - For example Blacks and whites joined together to desegregate the southern United States

- People's movements tore down the Berlin Wall and the entire network of totalitarian Soviet governments

 - South Africa peacefully threw off the shackles of apartheid and freed Nelson Mandela from prison to be its first democratically elected President

All of these struggles started with a few people, but spiraled outward to become an unstoppable movement for justice once enough people started to believe and to act.

Ordinary people in Montgomery, in Gdansk, in Soweto, in so many other places, decided that things had to change—and they changed!

Now, after years of corporate scandals, it's time to say, as those ordinary people did before us, that things have to change.

Shel Horowitz is indeed a major player on target to help create change.  And you can be too!

Simply make an eco commitment now!   Help spread the message:

Help Earth Retain / Better It's Environment

Never doubt that a small group
of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world;
Indeed it's the only thing that ever has

- - Margaret Mead

The whole world uses nearly three billion gallons of oil every day. We all use it to fuel our cars, trucks, buses, and even to heat our homes.

Oil is made into plastics, which could be within any of your toys, computers, auto parts and more.

Oil is also used in medicines, ink, paints, and to create some electricity. While we can't stop oil spills from happening, we can help to control the risk and ask that better laws provide how and where oil is drilled, and transported.

Save on all the things you love to do!
