Herbie Mann's work as a progressive jazz flute player details a master at play,

 both in performance and interpretation.

Herbie Mann in l992 experimented with a new formed label he titled Kokopelli Music.

 He launched the Kokopelli label with the release of DEEP POCKET - an all star, soul/jazz recording featuring such giants as Les McCann, Cornell Dupree, David Newman and Chuck Rainey.

Later in partnership..  Kokopelli Music was expanded to that of Kokopelli Records.

During this 'changing times'.. year and a half venture, Herbie Mann produced close to a dozen recordings.

Included among those albums released were Herbie Mann's PEACE PIECES, a tribute to the music of Bill Evans, featuring guitarist Bruce Dunlap, Eddie Gomez and Randy Brecker.

 Mann during his professional career has recorded or toured with such musical professionals as Duane Allman, Roy Ayers, Chief Bey, Willie Bobo, Ranelle Braxton, Ron Carter, Bruno Carr, Billy Cobham, Chick Corea, Larry Coryell, Doc Cheatham,Cornell Dupree, Bill Evans, Stephane Grappelli, Herbie Hancock, Cissy Houston, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Tamiko Jones, Albert Lee, Ralph McDonald, Jose Mangal, Sergio Mendes , Michael Olatunji, Jimmy Owens, Eunice Peterson, Baden Powell, Chuck Rainey, Pat Rebillot, Sylvia Shamwell, Sonny Sharrock, David Spinoza, Mick Taylor, Ben Tucker, Carlos Valdes, Miroslav Vitous, and many others.
